Vallarta Supermarkets in Delano, CA is seeking a friendly Grocery Day Stocker who delivers outstanding customer service, stocks shelves, and prepares online orders for curbside pickup.

You will transport, stock, rotate groceries, assist customers, and maintain store cleanliness while following safety standards. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to grow with our team.

Responsibilities

• Select, scan, and pack orders for curbside pickup.
• Contact customers regarding substitutions.
• Bag groceries and deliver to customer vehicles.
• Transport, stock, and rotate groceries; pull out-of-code items.
• Maintain shelves and designated storage areas.
• Notify supervisors of inventory levels.

About the Role

The Grocery Day Stocker is responsible for transporting, stocking, and displaying grocery merchandise, as well as accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for curbside pickup.This roleensuresproducts are fresh, rotated, and well-presented whilemaintainingVallarta's standards for safety, sanitation, and customer service.

WhatYou'llDo

• Smile and greet customers and team members; deliver extraordinary service using Vallarta's six steps.
• Model Vallarta's Core Values: customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.
• Select, scan, and pack customer orders from all temperature zones with accuracy and care.
• Contact customersregardingsubstitutions and ensure orders meetfreshnessand quality standards.
• Bag groceries according to Vallarta procedures and deliver to customer vehicles.
• Transport, stock, and rotate grocery products; pull out-of-code or distressed merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise on shelves, in designated storage areas, and store displays.
• Notify supervisors of inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks/overstocks.
• Handle merchandise carefully to minimize damage and shrink.
• Safely unload merchandise and transport using dollies, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Report discrepancies, damaged items, or quality issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Comply withfood safety, health code, and sanitation practices.
• Follow company policies and safetystandards;report unsafe acts or conditionsimmediately.
• Support inventory, price marking, and department housekeeping.
• Foster teamwork, support training, andassistcoworkers as needed.
• Performadditionalduties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk constantly (6-8+ hours/day).
• Frequently bend neck/waist, squat, twist, and reach above/below shoulders.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Heaviest itemrequiredto carry: 61 lbs., up to 12 feet.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment safely.
• Work near equipment/machinery; exposure to dust, gas, fumes, temperature, and humidity changes.
• Work on uneven groundoccasionally.
• May berequiredto perform tasks at elevated levels (placing or retrieving items).

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fast-paced grocery setting with direct customer interaction.
• Exposure toperishable products, cold storage, dust, and changing conditions.
• Collaborative, team-focused workplace.
• Must work flexible schedule: afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
