Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets in Carson, CA is hiring a Grocery Day Stocker to transport, stock, and display grocery merchandise, and to accurately select and prepare customer orders for curbside pickup, while ensuring freshness and product presentation in line with Vallarta’s safety and sanitation standards.

You will greet customers, assist with substitutions, rotate stock, manage shelf maintenance, and support inventory, pricing, and department housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and ability to manage stocking tasks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to work afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers and team members; deliver extraordinary service using Vallarta’s six steps.

• Select, scan, and pack customer orders for curbside pickup with accuracy and care.
• Notify supervisors of inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks/overstocks.
• Maintain shelves, store displays, and assist with inventory and housekeeping.
• Safely unload merchandise using dollies and pallet jacks; follow safety and sanitation practices.
• Support price marking and department housekeeping; assist coworkers as needed.
