Responsabilidades

• Grocery Clerk helps customers discover products and answers questions about items.
• Informs customers of specials and recommends items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Provide customers with fresh and non-perishable groceries they have ordered.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager promptly.
• Stay current with ads and promotions, and apply safety guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs.
• Know products sold in the department and respond to questions with helpful suggestions.
• Create an welcoming environment so customers feel valued and appreciated.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents when they occur.
