Job summary

Kroger in Decherd, TN is seeking a courteous Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service at checkout and help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment. You will help escort bags to customers’ cars, assist with loading, and ensure items are bagged with care while upholding safety and Kroger’s values.

You will also perform basic shelf conditioning, inform customers about specials, and support store operations with a friendly, can-do attitude in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow bagging best practices for reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Help customers load bags into their car when needed.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and tidy stored areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in the parking lot.
