Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers with attention to care and accuracy.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bag types (reusable/plastic/paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and price checks for cashiers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas; clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside store; handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Know store layout, locate products, and assist with price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of any repair needs.
• Create an inviting environment by answering questions about products sold within the store.
