Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe all store rules and company policies.
• Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance and observe dress regulations.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Observe shift-operating hours as scheduled by department manager.
• Exhibit excellent communication and customer skills.
• Stock shelves with attention to detail, build displays, unload shipments, and keep stockroom organized.
• Display merchandise attractively and keep the store neat.
• Maintain sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job description

The primary purpose of the Grocery Clerk is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The Grocery Clerk should smile, greet and be courteous to customers, work with management and all other associates to provide a high level of customer service. The Grocery Clerk will maintain stock and rotation of merchandise in the grocery area and to perform other functions as required in other departments of the store.

Requirements/Responsibilities

1. Observe all store rules and company policies.
2. Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
3. Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
4. Observe shift -operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.
5. Excellent communication and customer skills.
6. Pay attention to details while stocking shelves, organize and build displays, help unload shipments and keep stockroom well organized.
7. Display merchandise in an attractive, appealing and neat manner.
8. Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on an ongoing basis.
9. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
10. Able to exert or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and exert or lift negligible amounts of weight often.
11. Perform other duties as requested by management.
