Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets in Northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Grocery Clerk to support the Grocery Manager with stocking, merchandising, and customer service. You will present a professional appearance and follow store policies while maintaining clean shelves and back stock.

This part-time position may require weekend shifts. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and read, write, and understand English. Gerrity's is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages.
• Must be able to move and/or lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate and dress grocery shelves.
• Maintain and organize all back stock.
• Keep grocery sales area, shelves, floors and back room neat and sanitary.
• Inform Scan Department of pricing inaccuracies when changes occur.
• Maintain daily specials and replenish specials on shelves.
• Verify products and shelf labels and ensure proper alignment.
• Be at workstation at start of shift.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge at all times.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and dress code.
• Attend work as scheduled.
• Follow Employee Handbook policies.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
