Job Summary

Job Title: Grocery Clerk II

Reports To: Center Store Manager

The Grocery Clerk II is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, achieving department goals, and contributing to store sales and profitability through effective management of stock levels, inventory, and guest service.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure product is within date, rotated, and properly displayed according to planogram.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and responding to guest needs.
• Assist with unloading product and organizing stock room.
• Maintain proper presentation of products on shelves and in cases.
• Observe sales floor conditions and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with store management and team members to maintain standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Assist guests with locating items and providing product suggestions.
• Address and resolve guest concerns.
• Contribute to cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at specified times.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and communicate absences promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, lifts, and other tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to stand for long periods, work in cool environments, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Repetitive tasks and full upper body motion are required.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with schedules including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
