Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Grocery Clerk to keep shelves stocked, clean, and organized while assisting customers with purchases. You will adhere to department guidelines, ensure pricing accuracy, and support inventory and display setup in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role demands customer service excellence, cross-functional teamwork, and the ability to work varied hours. Prior grocery or natural foods experience is a plus; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years grocery retail experience preferred.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure store shelves, storage, and work areas are clean and safe.
• Stock shelves, facing, filling, and pricing as per department schematics.
• Rotate inventory and discard expired items.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
• Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Monitor promotional materials, coupons, and recipe cards.
• Weigh, label, and price products accurately.
• Prepare and display products for shelves and displays.
• Participate in pre-inventory preparation and back stock checks.
• Maintain product knowledge and a clean department appearance.
• Support team goals and adapt to varying hours.
