Ruler Foods is seeking a proactive Grocery Clerk/Cashier to deliver friendly, efficient checkout service and answer customer questions. You will manage stock rotations to ensure freshness, assist with product recommendations, and stay informed about current promotions.

The role demands strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work 18+ hours in a fast-paced retail environment. Training on POS systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Basic math proficiency is required.
• Completion of the cashier training program.
• Ability to memorize produce items and sale items.
• Strong communication and reading skills.
• Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout.
• Rotate merchandise by code dating and ensure freshness; monitor sell-by dates.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and suggestions.
• Inform customers of current specials and promotions.
• Maintain product knowledge and stock levels; aid in labeling and inventory.
