Job summary

El Super in Reno (Store #67) is seeking a friendly Grocery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. Under the supervision of the Grocery Manager, you will help customers, stock shelves, clean displays, and rotate self-serve sections.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work nights and weekends, and provide reliable service. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour, with benefits typical of El Super and the Chedraui USA family.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short notices.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Clean display cases and shelves; rotate self-serve displays.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill and rotate the self serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
