Job summary

El Super #38 in San Bernardino is hiring a Grocery Clerk to join the store operations team. Under direct supervision, you will assist customers, keep displays clean, rotate items, and support shelf maintenance while meeting daily operation needs.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work varied hours, including nights and weekends. The store emphasizes customer service and community involvement within the El Super banner of Chedraui USA.

Qualifications

• Reads and comprehends simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Writes simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
