Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a welcoming Food Clerk to help our Fresh departments deliver an exceptional in-store experience. You will build positive connections with customers, share knowledge about products, and ensure displays look fresh and inviting.

You will stock and rotate merchandise, use store technology to complete tasks, and follow safety and sanitation procedures. This is a fast-paced role that supports multiple departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

Qualifications

• Customer-first mindset and strong communication are essential.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Comfort using store technologies to complete tasks.
• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
