Key Responsibilities:
  • Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
  • Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
  • Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise accurately.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
  • Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs.
  • Develop knowledge of products to assist and suggest to customers.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report to management.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repair needs.
  • Report any customer or employee accidents promptly.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
