Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of food specials and recommending products to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate action.
- Providing customers with ordered groceries, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures with logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist and inform customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Performing preventive maintenance and notifying management of repairs.
- Reporting accidents involving customers or employees.
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicts professionally.
- Acting with honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information.
- Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
