• Answer customers' questions about merchandise.
• Compare merchandise invoices to received items to ensure accuracy.
• Receive, open, unpack, and issue sales floor merchandise.
• Requisition merchandise from suppliers based on demand.
• Take inventory to identify items to be reordered.

Essential Job Functions

• Function1: Transport stock for storage in stock areas.
• Function2: Keep store shelves fully stocked according to ordering system requirements. Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
• Function3: Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out of date product as needed.
• Function4: Be observant and greet customers who come into the store.
• Function5: Keep work area clean. Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
• Function6: Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
• Function7: Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
• Function8: Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.
• Function9: Requisition merchandise from supplier based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.
• Function10: Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Function11: Employees are expected to report to work on time as scheduled, in proper work attire, prepared for their full shift.
• Function12: Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.
