Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. is seeking a Grocery Clerk to ensure the freshest products and a top-notch customer experience. You will present goods, stock, rotate, and maintain attractive shelves while helping shoppers with knowledge about products.

Maintain clean, organized grocery areas, follow store policies, and be willing to cross-train in other sections as needed. A friendly, professional appearance is expected and 18+ years old for machinery operation.

Job description

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by presenting and ensuring the freshest quality product. The Grocery Clerk maintains department conditions, to include, stocking, blocking, rotating, and leveling grocery products. They also maintain department conditions and cleanliness in the grocery areas and handle customer inquiries while providing product knowledge.

• Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.

• Must be 18 years of age to operate machinery (refer to minor guidelines where appropriate).
