Responsibilities include:

• Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
• Checking product quality for freshness and reviewing "sell by" dates.
• Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations, maintaining proper temperatures, and logging temperatures.
• Gaining product knowledge to assist and answer customer questions.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
• Reinforcing safety programs, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting hazards.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
