Grocery Clerk Responsibilities:

• Inform customers about food specials and recommend products to meet their needs.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to management.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming ads and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines, including maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
• Acquire and maintain product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making suggestions.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report incidents or accidents.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
