Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will maintain shelves, assist customers, and help ensure food safety and store policies are followed.

The role emphasizes friendly service, accurate stocking, and adherence to guidelines, with opportunities to learn store systems like ACIS and CAO. Must be able to meet physical requirements and wear the uniform as required.

• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings with damp cloth as needed when stocking
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO
• Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause accidents
• Report all accidents following established procedures
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses
• Perform all other duties as assigned
