Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Center Store (Grocery) Associate to assist the Center Store Manager in delivering quality customer service and maintaining standards. You will help train and schedule the stock crew, stock shelves, and ensure policy compliance across operations in the West Columbia store.

The role emphasizes fast, friendly service, teamwork with store associates, and adherence to safety and company guidelines while maintaining a neat appearance and operating store tools like ACIS and CAO.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Store Manager with training, scheduling, and maintaining a qualified stock crew.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and provide fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Ensure Associates maintain a clean, neat appearance and follow safety guidelines.
• Stock merchandise per policies and guidelines and manage shelf allocations.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Follow Food Lion guidelines and standard practices; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents as required.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain professional appearance.
• Complete CBT, training packets, and training aids as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
