Job summary

Sullivan's Grocery is seeking a full-time Grocery Cashier to join our Madison, MS store. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help with everyday checkout tasks to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Responsibilities include handling cash, cards, and other payment types; issuing receipts and processing returns; and providing information on store policies. A friendly, customer-oriented approach is essential.

• Experience: None
• Computer Skills: Cash register experience required. Computer and produce scanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
• Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
