Job summary

Kroger in Lambertville, MI is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to assist at the checkout and help keep shelves organized. You will bag groceries, help customers, and prepare items for quick checkout while following safety and cleanliness standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Prior retail experience is helpful; training is provided with opportunities for growth within Kroger.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items and avoid damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart at checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
