Kroger’s Ralphs division in Laguna Niguel, CA is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience at checkout and maintain a safe, clean store environment. Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting customers, stocking shelves, and ensuring items are handled carefully.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout and assist customers
• Aim for at least five items per bag without damage
• Follow best practices for bagging in various bags
• Help remove merchandise from bottom while checking out
• Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather baskets
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Clean all areas inside and outside store and handle seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Follow food safety regulations and inspections
• Provide customer answers and maintain welcoming environment
• Adhere to local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in high-paced or stressful environments
• Handle conflicts calmly and with integrity
• Follow directions and seek help when needed
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
