Kroger is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to enhance the customer experience in our Jonesboro, GA store. You will bag groceries at checkout, help load bags, maintain shelves, and keep the store clean and safe.

The role emphasizes friendliness, efficiency, and adherence to food safety guidelines. The position supports customers, understands store layout, and collaborates with team members to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable/plastic/paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Know the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated.
