Job Title: Grocery Associate

Position Overview

The grocery associate is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and creating a friendly atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products (grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food) to ensure freshness and proper dating; restock and use supplies efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain low supply costs.
• Operate department equipment and tools.
• Assist with receiving vendor merchandise.
• Unload truck deliveries promptly.
• Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any illegal or policy-violating actions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Meet legal and company policy age requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
