Job summary

Kroger Pay Less in Indiana is seeking a Grocery Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager to meet sales goals, follow food safety guidelines, and help customers with product selection.

Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking shelves, checking freshness and dates, and supporting initiatives to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Help customers discover new items and answer questions.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend items to ensure they get what they need.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates to take appropriate action.
• Stock, label and organize department merchandise for easy shopping.
• Maintain food safety and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager and assist with inventory.
