Job summary

ShopRite of Hackensack is seeking a Grocery Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Grocery Department. You will keep shelves neat and stocked and assist customers with friendly service.

Position requires ability to read and write English, basic math, standing all shift, and lifting up to 60 lbs. The role may involve overtime and working with fresh and perishable products.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Stock, price, and rotate merchandise.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt service.
• Follow safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Keep unit price labels and price changes current.
• Assist with promotions and shelf/signage accuracy.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked and faced at all times.
• Follow QA and sanitation standards.
