Jonathan’s Place is seeking a full-time GRO Residential Team Lead (Emergency Shelter) to supervise clients and staff, ensure facility safety, and oversee medication administration. The role emphasizes Trauma-Informed Care and a team-based crisis intervention approach for youth in care.

The Team Lead will plan and implement programming, document progress, and oversee residential activities during assigned shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• Management and supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Enforce GRO procedures in compliance with Licensing, Contracts and Program Policies & Procedures.
• Assist with implementation of corrective action plans required by Licensing Standards and Contracts.
• Ensure residents receive medical care and monitor health changes during shifts.
• Supervise staff–resident interactions to encourage positive reinforcement.
• Adjust monthly staff schedules reflecting changes as they occur.
• Monitor residents’ habits, interests, and special needs.
• Monitor medication logs, child daily notes, and incident reports, ensuring forms are filled out correctly and timely.
• Maintain grocery, household, and office supplies.
• Positively reinforce staff and residents’ efforts and accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Programs.

Job description

Jonathan€™s Place is accepting applications for a full-time GRO Residential Team Lead (Emergency Shelter). The Team Lead oversees the daily supervision of clients and assigned staff, the physical care of the facility, meeting the needs of clients, overseeing medication administration, documenting client progress, and providing for the safety of youth in care. This position is responsible for the implementation of programming curriculum, Trauma-Informed Care model and utilizing a team approach to crisis intervention while working with our youth and demonstrating the values that support positive developments. Team Lead will provide quality supervision to assigned team members and is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing residential care providers activities during their assigned shift. The Team Lead position is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with evenings and weekends as needed. • Enforce GRO procedures ensuring that the hourly activities/operations of childcare functions are being carried out in compliance with Licensing, Contracts and Program Policies & Procedures.
• Assist with implementation of corrective action plans require by Licensing Standards and Contracts.
• Ensure residents continue to receive medical care on an ongoing basis as needed.
• Monitor residents throughout shift for illness or changes in health conditions and promptly report team (GRO).
• Supervise the general interaction between staff and children encouraging positive reinforcement.
• Ensure accuracy of individual time sheets authenticating at the end of the pay period
• Responsible for adjusting monthly staff schedules to reflect staff changes as they occur
• Responsible for monitoring resident's habits, interests, and any special needs.
• Monitor medication logs, child daily notes, and minor/serious incident reports, ensuring that forms are filled out correctly and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining grocery, household, and office supplies
• Positively reinforce staff and resident's efforts and accomplishments.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Residential Programs.

Required Education and Experience:
