Job summary

The Bear Creek School in Redmond, Washington, invites applications for Grizzly Hoops Head Coach, a part-time, non-faculty staff role for the November through February season. Qualifications

• Some coaching experience preferred, but not required.
• High School Diploma Required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or certification within 90 days of employment start date).
• Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer (sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with instruction and training in the fundamentals of the sport/activity.
• Assist with team supervision during practice, contests, and travel.
• Assist the Head Coach with the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Varsity coach to plan, create, and lead practice sessions for the JV or C-level programs (when applicable).
• Promote sportsmanship and fair play among team members.
• Communicate with players, parents, and Bear Creek staff regarding team expectations, schedules, and program information.
• Provide first aid as required.

The Role

The Bear Creek School is currently seeking a Grizzly Hoops Head Coach to join our athletics team! The coach will help provide a positive and developmentally appropriate basketball experience for our student‑athletes, with an emphasis on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character.

Requirements

• Some coaching experience preferred, but not required
• High School Diploma Required
• Compliance with Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association and Bear Creek requirements prior to beginning of sports season
• Hold CPR/AED/First Aid certification (with epinephrine autoinjector supplement) or certification within 90 days of employment start date
• Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer (sponsorship is not available for this position)
