Mars Incorporated is seeking a Grinding Utility Operator for the night shift at Royal Canin in Lebanon, TN. The role includes moving raw ingredients, loading/unloading trailers and preparing ingredients for mixing within a rotating 12-hour schedule.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, teamwork, initiative, and ability to use SAP, ATMS and Week Plan. Overtime and growth opportunities are available.

Grinding Utility Operator (Night Shift- $3.00 Shift Differential) (Finance)

Location: Royal Canin - Lebanon, TN

Required Shift: 12‑Hour shifts, rotating schedule. Night shift is 6:00pm to 6:30am; 4 days on and 4 days off

The scope of the Grinding Utility Operator is to moved raw ingredients inside the site, load/unload trailers, and prepare ingredients for mixing. The Grinding Utility Operator will work several positions throughout the site with the intent of preparing ingredients for mixing.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma / GED


• Forklift experience required


• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachable


• Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment


• Ability to act with disciplined initiative


• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data


• Good verbal and written communication skills


• 1+ years' experience within manufacturing, technical and/or trade discipline


• Comfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and week plan.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).


• Frequenthandling/gripping/bending/stooping.


• Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.


• Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Raw materials are available for production lines on time


• Communicate potential shortages to relevant stakeholders


• Maintain close contact with Operations team to ensure that there are no delays in manufacture


• Raise relevant escalations that have an impact on safety, quality and efficiency
