Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL, is seeking personnel for 2nd and 3rd shift grinder operations. The role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting grinders for surface and cylindrical grinding of crankshafts components, with a shift differential and a 40-hour minimum.

PPE is provided and relocation is not offered. This is a supplemental position with benefits limited, located in Building LL, East Peoria, offering a base pay of $23.22 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Sets up, operates and adjusts grinders to perform surface and cylindrical grinding operations and/or the rough grinding of main and pin bearings on crankshafts. Included in this classification are the cylindrical honing machines, automatic crankshaft superfinisher and systems such as automatic valve guide line.

Additional Information

• 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm-10:00pm)
• 3rd shift (Su-Th 10:00 pm= 6:00 am)
• This position is located in Bldg LL in East Peoria
• Pay is $23.22 hour with an additional $1.00 hr shift differential
• All required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, including safety glasses (with prescription options), air supplied welding hoods, and safety boot reimbursement.
• Relocation assistance is not offered for this position
• This is a Supplemental position- minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available
• Supplemental employees will receive up to 40 hours of paid time off
