Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift Supplemental grinders in Building LL. The role sets up, operates and adjusts grinders to perform surface and cylindrical grinding on crankshaft bearings. Pay is $23.22 per hour with a $1 shift differential.

Candidates should have CNC training or mechanical aptitude, strong safety mindset, and the ability to work any shift. This supplemental position offers up to 40 hours weekly with limited benefits; relocation not offered.

2nd and 3rd Shifts- Bldg LL - East Peoria- Supplemental

Pay is $23.22

Sets up, operates and adjusts grinders to perform surface and cylindrical grinding operations and/or the rough grinding of main and pin bearings on crankshafts. Included in this classification are the cylindrical honing machines, automatic crankshaft superfinisher and systems such as automatic valve guide line.

Additional Information

• 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 pm-10:00pm)
• 3rd shift (Su-Th 10:00 pm= 6:00 am)
• This position is located in Bldg LL in East Peoria
• Pay is $23.22 hour with an additional $1.00 hr shift differential
• All required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, including safety glasses (with prescription options), air supplied welding hoods, and safety boot reimbursement.
• Relocation assistance is not offered for this position
• This is a Supplemental position- minimum 40 hours per week with limited benefits available
• Supplemental employees will receive up to 40 hours of paid time off
