Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Liquor Grinding Operator to manage grinding operations from nib hoppers to storage liquor tanks. You will coordinate with nib roasting and pressing, follow GMP and HACCP procedures, and maintain accurate records in SAP/MES.

The role requires preparing equipment, monitoring processes, sampling products, and ensuring a safe, efficient operation with the supervisor. A technical background and physical capability to lift 50 lbs are needed.

Qualifications

• AA degree in science related field or related post high school technical/mechanical education or a minimum of high school diploma with 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Computer literacy with PLC, MES and SAP a plus
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Team player with good communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work in hot environment and climb stairs

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Nib Roasting Operator to schedule the lines and ensure raw materials are available prior to processing
• Set up grinding equipment and monitor roasting process as specified by recipe
• Set up grinding equipment and monitor the grinding of Nibs per recipe specifications
• Monitor silo and tank inventory for Nibs daily
• Product sampling and testing for pH and moisture with adjustments per testing results
• Monitor CCP and record it in system and forms per HACCP procedures
• Inform supervisor of any process deviations
• Record all results in the defined form or system
• Perform cleanup and 1st level equipment maintenance and checks
• Capable to act as backup for Nib Roasting Operator
• Promote safe working environment and GMP adherence
• Work within regulatory requirements
• Perform other related duties as requested
