B&G Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team in Hatfield, PA. This position is responsible for setting up and operating centerless grinding machines to produce high-quality, precision components that meet customer and engineering specifications. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy working with machinery, and take pride in producing accurate, quality parts, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines according to production requirements and work instructions.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, machine controls, and grinding wheels to achieve required tolerances and finishes.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and job travelers.
• Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Dress grinding wheels and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Communicate production or equipment concerns to supervisors and maintenance.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of centerless grinding experience preferred.
• Experience in precision manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of centerless grinding setup and operation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good math and problem-solving abilities.
• GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands‑on manufacturing position. The ability to stand, bend, reach, position and maneuver materials and equipment is required. Employees must be able to move, install, adjust, measure, and maneuver materials weighing up to 70 pounds. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn.
