Job summary

A leading company in hydro technology is seeking a Grinder Trainee for its North American division. This position involves operating grinding equipment to produce unique components for large hydroelectric machines. Ideal candidates will have a strong aptitude to learn and prior experience in grinding is preferred.

In the position you will work on unique one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in the world. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude to learn and have past grinding experience. Position is part of a trainee program designed prepare the employee for a Grinder Specialist position. Responsibilities The job entails working in a fast paced production environment operating various grinding equipment producing a high quality surface according to a customer's specifications on a wide variety of components. In addition the candidate would perform 15 ton or less basic overhead crane lifts to facilitate their job. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Basic discipline aptitude/attitude Previous grinding experience preferred but not required Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the key actions of job.
