Job summary

Ceres Environmental Operations seeks a Grinder Support Operator to assist grinding and debris processing during disaster recovery projects across the United States. You will work outdoors at active sites, coordinating with equipment operators, site supervisors, and logistics to keep grinding operations safe and efficient.

Travel may be required; flexibility and a strong safety mindset are essential. Responsibilities include staging materials, inspecting for contaminants, maintaining clean work

Qualifications

• 1+ years in construction, forestry, debris management, or heavy equipment support.
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.
• Follow safety procedures and operational instructions.
• Physical ability for manual labor including lifting and uneven terrain.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to travel for disaster response and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Staging, sorting, and feeding debris to grinding equipment.
• Assist operators to maintain continuous workflow and minimize downtime.
• Inspect materials and remove contaminants prior to processing.
• Maintain safe work zones and enforce safety protocols.
• Perform routine site cleanup and organized work areas.
• Communicate with operators, supervisors, and team daily.
• Conduct basic equipment checks and report safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Support loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment as needed.
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of grinding operations at project sites.
