Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation is seeking a Grinder Operator for a 10-hour day shift. You will feed material into grinders, move stock with a forklift, and log updates in the barcode system. Youll perform routine maintenance and follow safety rules throughout the shift.

Training is provided for all skills; the ideal candidate is reliable, computer-friendly, and adaptable, able to work alone or in a team. Shifts run 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided; basic abilities preferred.
• Able to work in a noisy, hot, dusty environment.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout shift.
• Team oriented or able to work independently.
• Comfortable with computers or mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Feed reclaimed production material into grinder or shredder.
• Move material from warehouse to grinding room using a forklift.
• Label and update records using barcode inventory system.
• Perform maintenance on grinders and shredders, including blade changes.
• Maintain safe working practices at all times.

Primex Plastics Corporation, an international leader in the extruded plastic industry, is currently seeking a Grinder Operator for a 10-hour day shift.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Feed reclaimed production material into grinder or shredder.
• Locate material scheduled to be ground and move from warehouse to grinding room using a forklift.
• Use electronic barcode inventory system to label boxes and update records whenever material is physically moved or changed.
• Perform equipment maintenance on grinders and shredders, including changing blades.
• Maintain safe working practices as all times.

All skills will be trained on the job but the ideal candidate will have the following basic abilities/characteristics:

• Motivated to produce a high volume of work each and every day.
• Self-starter, able to determine what needs to be done and complete it with minimal supervision.
• Comfort level with computers and/or mobile apps.
• Adaptable to different duties as needed.
• Able to work as a team or alone.

Note: This role is exposed to noise, heat, and dust on a regular basis and requires standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
