Duties

• Set‑up and run either hand‑fed or automatic Centerless Grind machines
• Knowledge and ability to select grinding wheel, blade support, dress both wheels, speeds and operation sequences

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education & experience
• Ability to analyze and accurately interpret blueprints, customer drawings and industry specifications required
• Working knowledge of SPC and proficiency in the use of various types of inspection equipment (micrometer, calipers, comparator, and other miscellaneous inspection equipment) in precision measurement
• Attention to detail with ability to think and act analytically and use mathematics to meet job requirements
• Ability to accurately apply shop math to job duties
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills including listening, speaking and writing
• Effective team member, willing to work and communicate with all levels of the business
• Excellent attendance record, including punctuality
• Ability to work overtime as required, including weekends when needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand 90% - 100% of the shift
