Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Chartwells K-12, is hiring for full-time and part-time Grill Cook positions at the Moline, IL location (3600 23rd Avenue of the Cities, Moline, IL 61265). The role requires at least 2 years of cook or culinary experience; a food handler's certification is preferred.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00am–1:30pm, with online applications accepted. As a Grill Cook, you will prepare items, take orders, and ensure food is served safely and at proper temperatures.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of cook or culinary experience is required.
• Food handler's certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
• Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service meeting outlined standards.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
