Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Grill Cook at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The role is full-time with a fixed pay rate of $20.61 per hour and requires prior grill cooking experience. Work days and hours vary, with rotating weekends.

Training is offered for the right candidate. As a team member, you will prepare and grill items, ensure proper temperatures, and maintain safety standards while delivering quality service to patients and staff at the grill

Qualifications

• Previous grill cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service meeting outlined standards.
• Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Tastes all prepared food items.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
