Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Grill Cook for a full-time, 40-hour week. Work hours are Monday–Friday 11:30am–7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will operate grill and other cooking equipment, prepare and portion foods, and help maintain a safe, clean kitchen in accordance with health regulations. The role emphasizes efficient food preparation, recipe-driven cooking, customer interaction, and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• English literacy (read, write, speak)
• Sanitation certification preferred
• Experience in fast-paced food service environment
• Know-how operating commercial cooking equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate grill, burners, ovens and cooking equipment.
• Prepare, season, fry, grill and saute menu items.
• Ensure proper cooking methods, temperatures and times.
• Prepare meals for special diets and customer requests.
• Maintain sanitary, clean workstations and equipment.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
