We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position.

Address: 8TH STREET CAMPUS KITCHEN @ FIU - 11200 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL 33199. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station according to federal, state, and corporate standards to ensure high-quality food service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
2. Serves customers efficiently and friendly, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food.
3. Uses established ticket-collection procedures and maintains records during service.
4. Uses approved recipes and standards for quality, temperature, and portion control.
5. Transfers food safely between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
6. Stores foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
7. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
8. Addresses customer concerns and reports relevant issues to supervisors.
9. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
10. Builds good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
11. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
