Full‑time Grill Cook

Location

Atrium Health Union West, 1000 Healing Way, Matthews, NC 28104. Online applications only.

Schedule

Full‑time. Days and hours may vary; rotating weekends included. Detailed schedule provided during interview.

Pay

$18.65 to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.
• Valid ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently, friendly, and follows established service steps, ensuring food is at correct temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket‑collection procedures during service; maintains records of area worked during service periods.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Moves pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator according to safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas, following standard wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisor.
• Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs all duties safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
