Round Barn Public House in Baroda, MI is seeking a skilled, dependable Grill Cook to join our busy culinary team. You will prepare menu items accurately, operate the grill safely, and maintain speed of service in a high-volume kitchen.

The ideal candidate has grill experience, strong knife skills, and the ability to follow recipes and sanitation procedures. You must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer either full-time or part-time hourly work with competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Previous grill cook, line cook, or restaurant kitchen experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of grilling techniques, cooking temperatures, and food safety.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and basic food preparation knowledge.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented.
• Ability to remain productive and composed during high-volume service.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Operate the grill and other assigned cooking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proteins and other grilled items are cooked to proper temperatures and guest specifications.
• Set up, stock, and maintain the grill station before and throughout service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, portioning, and presentation.
• Maintain strong ticket times while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Communicate effectively with Line Cooks, Expo, Servers, and kitchen leadership.
• Assist with ingredient preparation and restocking as needed.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work responsibilities.
• Support other kitchen stations during high-volume periods as needed.
