Job summary

The Gates Foundation in Seattle, WA is hiring for full-time grill cook positions. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Two years of grill cooking experience preferred. Fixed pay rate: $23.50 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Two years of grill cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation; completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service; ensures food is at correct temperature and appealing.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service; maintains records from the area worked during service periods.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator following safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas and utensils to ensure sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers and managers.
• Performs duties safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
