Job summary

Compass Group is hiring immediately for grill cook positions at 275 Mt. Carmel Ave, Hamden, CT 06518. Roles involve preparing food and serving customers at the grill station in line with standards to ensure high-quality service.

Both full-time and part-time schedules are available; weekends required. Pay rate is fixed at $18.75 per hour. Training and development opportunities are offered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Previous cook and food service experience required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation.
• Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Serve customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service to meet outlined standards.
• Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
