Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.

Grill Cook

Full-Time Hourly– $17--$17.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description:

Grill cooks prepare the highest quality food items for retail by following established recipes, standards, and procedures.

Your day-to-day:

• Set up the working area according to established standards
• Grill Cook: made-to-order food
• Wipe down and clean work area, as needed
• Stock supplies for cooking
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting and responding to customers
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned

Education & Experience:

• 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience preferred but not required
• Safely use/operate knives, grill, fryer
• Excellent customer service
• Good oral communication skills

Working Conditions:

• Thisposition requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional pulling, pushing, squatting, reaching, and lifting with a maximum of 45lbs
