Job summary

SodexoMagic, in partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana, is seeking a Grill Cook for varying shifts in a part-time role. You’ll prepare and present hot and cold items, focus on customer service, and help reduce food waste while maintaining a welcoming kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events.
• Read and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• May cook and serve customers or operate grill/fryer stations.
• Attend shifts on time; maintain standards as required by the unit.

Location: XAVIER UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA - 72707001

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $15.80 per hour - $23.70 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Grill Cook at SodexoMagic, you are a team player and food waste reducer. You'll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
