Hourly Wage

Guckenheimer offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $18 per hour - $19 per hour.

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are approximately 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm, Mon - Fri + Weekends.

Key Purpose

The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and, special/catered events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but ISS/Guckenheimer may identify additional responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ from account to account, depending on the business needs and client requirements.

Success Criteria
  • Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness to provide a safe environment for all employees and guests.
  • Follow Workplace Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
  • Follow Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
  • Adhere to all internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
  • Work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper.
  • Minimum of 1 year professional cooking experience or education equivalent.
Key Accountabilities
  • Clock in and out for workday and during breaks.
  • Provide the highest quality of service according to ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
  • Use food preparation procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure high-quality food service.
  • Apply basic cooking and prep techniques as required by your work assignment.
  • Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items, as directed by production sheets and/or Chef.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment, following ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulations.
  • Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, safety issues, or other concerns requiring attention.
  • Attend all daily meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Use team lift, carts, or assistance for heavy loads.
  • Dress according to the dress code.
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
